The Global Studies Foundation

The Global Studies Foundation is a nonprofit organization promoting international awareness and education.

Starting more than a century ago, the process of globalization continues to integrate our world. Technological advances have dramatically shrunk the effects of distance and increased the dynamism and interconnectedness of the international system. Survival and success in these emergent conditions require greater global awareness and more refined analytic and communications skills than in the past.

The unfortunate reality is that many American students do not possess the basic knowledge and skills that are required today. As a result, the general public in the United States is often ill informed or unprepared to cope with the complex, global challenges we face.

The world's leading democracy demands a better prepared citizenry.

To help address this situation, the Global Studies Foundation (GSF) was organized and incorporated in Concord, New Hampshire. A nonpartisan, tax-exempt public charity, GSF conducts scientific research, sponsors educational outreach programs, and offers a growing array of grants and awards to advance the study of international affairs.
